ryan's life
YEAR: DIRECTOR: Nick Wauters CLOSED CAPTIONING: No LANGUAGES: English STARRING:
Rue McClanahan
From writer/director Nick Wauters comes the light-hearted, semi-autobiographical story of a teenager coming of age and coming out. Ryan Harris seems to have it all. He lives in Los Angeles, he has a devoted girlfriend, and he is already on the road to his dream of making films. It would all add up to an ideal teenage existence, except for the fact that Ryan is starting to think that he just might be gay. Rather than tell his friends or family, Ryan starts keeping a video journal to help figure things out. Aided by the "guardian angels" in his life, including "The Roses Lady" at a local coffee house, and his own eccentric and wise grandma, played by Emmy-winning television icon Rue McClanahan, Ryan begins a hilarious, awkward, touching and ultimately inspiring journey toward accepting who he is, and having the courage to share it with the people he loves.
